I cannot review it, as I had to return it. It had computer difficulties getting it loaded onto my computer. My computer problem.

I bought this software as a cheep software for creating computer paiting software. I like the software but it said it includes tutorials, be sure the software you get does. The software I got I got no tutorials with the software and says to go to a form and all I’m able to get is users thoughts and advance. This software will just set and collect dust at my house.

I purchased ArtRage Deluxe 2. 5 for a gift for my daughter who enjoys using ‘Paint’ on her Windows XP machine, not realizing it wasn’t compatible with XP. A bit bummed I installed it on my Vista Premium 64-bit PC which also has a Wacom Bamboo Craft tablet installed on it. Much to our combined delight, this was a match made in Heaven!
The ArtRage software is very easy to use. Nothing complicated; simple interface that allows you to literally install it and get to creating colorful projects almost immediately. Fun stencils, the ability to trace a favorite photo and then use several different paintbrushes and/or styles of painting, and getting in and out of those styles quickly, make this a favorite of mine. I’ve used Corel Painter Essentials 4 (Win/Mac), which came with the Bamboo tablet, and the ‘paint’ which is part of Windows systems, but this is infinitely easier to use and much more fun.
While this may not be for seasoned graphic designers and artists who prefer more refined software, I do think it’s an excellent software package for anyone who wants to let their creativity flow easily instead of worrying about learning more software! Easy enough for kids as young as 7 to learn quickly, and good enough to be enjoyed by all ages.

I was quite nervous about getting this software but once i got it then I got the tablet i was able to draw and i love it!! On one cd rom disk it has all it says on there from tutorials to videos on how to draw giving creative ideas to those to inspire to draw and i watched mainly the dragon video and it gave me some creative thoughts on how to improve my drawings and they are working well!! This software is a must have for anyone who wants to draw!!

I have worked in fine art media as well as computer graphic programs. ArtRage 2. 5 is like virtual painting but it is a creative process not a passive one. I enjoy the variety of fun tools with a comfortable interface. I would recommend this program to beginners as well as pros. Includes helpful tutorials.
