This program has a wonderfully inventive menu system for accessing tools. This unique interface system takes a bit to get used to but it provides a great way of accessing tools. There are a lot of great tools but it takes a while to figure out how to use them.

I kept trying to use this program for specific projects but tended to get frustrated and give up. I really liked how the tools were organized but could just not get the program to do what I wanted it to.

I bought this program, I have used it, and I love the look and feel of it. It is the closest thing to traditional medium on paper I have found in the digital realm. BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It crashes 2 or 3 times AN HOUR!!!!! My specs exceed wildly what is recommended. I see no patches online, no way to increase the memory allocated to Sketchbook, or any real options in the program to control anything other than the width of my stroke. The custom brush tool is pretty well done.

It is good at what it does WHEN it decides to work, BUT it can be devestating to your production value if you dont save after every 2 or 3 strokes of the tablet. VERY disappointed. Not sure this has any value above and beyond what Photoshop does out of the box, and Photoshop doesn’t have these stability issues.

First of all, you should probably note that this software is NOT for “normal” computer users. It is complicated and difficult to use if you aren’t a serious artist. That being said, if you can use Photoshop, you can use this. This version is a nice upgrade from the previous version and the interface will be very friendly to photoshop users. The uses of this product are virtually unlimited if you are an artist, or if you just like messing around drawing. My favorite new feature is the Symmetric Drawing Brush, which takes the tedium out of symmetric drawing by doing it for you! It will save you an incredible amount of time and the results are fabulous. Overall, this is a great piece of software and I highly recommend it.

This is the first version of SketchBook Pro I have used. I am using Windows XP, installation went fine, the software works fast and I have had no problems with it.

This software is for use with a pen tablet. I wouldn’t even bother trying to draw with a mouse. The software is very easy to learn if you are familiar with Photoshop, but I am still getting used to doing my drawings on the computer with a tablet. Overall a very enjoyable program.

Sketchbook continues to improve the product. Unfortunately, being an early adopter I payed more for it than I should have, based on the fact that
autodesk has just run a 40% off program right after I purchased my copy.
