This is a very dangerous program to have. It totally reformated my harddrive and damaged all my programs.

This protects your computer from spyware, phishing attacks, identity theft and viruses.
It protects while e-mailing and instant messaging.
It does a lot without slowing the computer down. It’s a good product at a reasonable price.

I used this for my laptop of which I use mainly for emails and I have no games or other extra programes in this computer other than the ones that came preloaded. My issues came from things in emails so that is probably why it scanned mine so quickly and does not intrude on my computer time with constant warnings. This scans your computer for viruses and trojans twice as fast as McAfee or Norton. I had just downloaded a free trial of McAfee and it did not catch all the trojans that this found. After it scanned and cleaned my computer, it ran nearly twice as fast as before. I knew it had something wrong as it seemed to get slower day by day and I had already tried system restore to see if I could clean it out that way. This really cleaned it all up and did the trick. I love it. I’ll stay with this product over the others that are out there from now on. I have windows XP in my computers but it is also compatible with VISTA, the newer version too. If you have a dual core processor it will work even faster. I have never had any theft issues but I can see from the the program that this would certainly remedy that situation and keep it from happening. I did turn off my system restore feature and pop up blocker when I loaded this program. It didn’t say to do that but in the past when I have entered new programs of this type they never worked right until I turned off system restore and the pop up blocker on my internet first. Be sure to turn your system restore back on after you restart the computer from loading the program and then set a date to be saved.

When it has came down to computer safety, we honestly need much more of it than we honestly ever know. With a new anti-virus program called Bitdefender, it is honestly a very easy to program and setup from start to finish. But when it has came down to it, there are a few problems with it. It honestly doesn’t work as well with Windows XP, as it is tuned more strongly with Vista or the upcoming Windows 7. The only gripe is if you have Windows XP in your computer, you honestly would need to upgrade your computer memory and speed because it would honestly work much better with the anti-virus program. Otherwise, you’d be much better off with other getting another brand like CA or Norton, because it would work much better with that version. It does however handle well with Netbooks, just as much as regular everyday computers too, if you’re planning on buying one. Still, Bitdefender Anti-Virus 2010 isn’t a bad software that helps you protect your computer, but it could’ve had more than meets the eye.

I love being able to shop, bank and email with security. My old spyware had expired and I hadn’t bought a new one and PRESTO, I remembered I got Bitdefender. Works very well.
