We own a half dozen digital cameras, two Flips, a DV camcorder and two computers with built-in web cams. This program will no recognize any of these. For two days, I have tried everything, installed it three times, added a firewire card, and always: Capture Device Not Found.
To be clear to everyone: the program can’t work with digital still cameras or Flips. I don’t know why it won’t recognize our other options. Without a connected camera, this application is no more useful than the windows movie maker that came with your computer. You can’t do any of the things mentioned — chromakey, onion skinning, etc. I would also add that fully 50% of the times i have started this program, it crashed and had to close (i so wanted claymation to work for my 11-year old, i would have ignored this if i could have ever gotten it to recognize a camera!)
I’m honestly amazed that anyone has ever gotten this program to work. I feel like calling the person who gave it three stars and congratulating them. At least i can warn others: Don’t buy this program, unless you need a $40 coaster.

This is a solid, easy an stable piece of software. Works flawlessly with all my sony cameras ( point and shot, dsrls, camcorders, etc ) on any of the PC`s OS: XP and Vista 32/64.

Great program. Much better than the first edition. The program is easy to learn. If a problem occurs, the technical help department is the best that I have ever used and help comes quickly.
The user manual is well written and is easy to understand. In summary, I love this program!!!

I love it! very simple & easy to use and doesn’t eat up much computing power. My kids are using it on an slow, old laptop & it works fine. We have a MS web-cam from wally-world & it recognizes it with no problems, also recognizes the microphone. I don’t know what trouble others have had, but you are supposed to have the camera plugged in & ready before you launch the program.
Your camera needs to be able to feed a live image to the computer like a web-cam does, this software can’t make your camera do that if it isn’t designed to, so a typical digital still camera won’t work.
You won’t be able to get Hollywood quality movies, but it is inexpensive, fun, & easy to use.

This is a nice program, but will not work with either of our cannon cameras. It claims to work with most cameras, but we had no success. We had to buy a webcam to use with it.
