Hi. I don’t understand why you, ChessDadof4, review the item you bought from GoGamer. Fritz 12 from ChessBase with the green cover is the genuine software even if I have seen it from Excalibur Publishing Ltd which has a red King on the cover but this program is probably inferior (Can anyone confirm this?) to ChessBase’ own program. /CLT

For playing against the computer, chessmaster is much better and fun, . If you just want to analyse games get rybka from convekta, it is the strongest program. 30 dollars of the price they justify for playchess account and the chessvideos which come with the program are simple advertising for chessbase training videos.

I am THRILLED with this product! My husband loves chess and has no one to play with so he was using an internet site which seemed to cause various problems on our computer. This software is fantastic! It allows him to play at appropriate levels and keeps him challenged and motivated. Bravo!

I have used Fritz for several years, but I have always found the Program a little clunky. They have done a great job making all of the features readily accessible. I most often use the Program to analyze my games, but you can also play Fritz or use Training Programs. I have not yet used the Training feature but I am told that they work well also. Very good product at reasonable price.

I got this from GoGamer thinking that it was the Fritz 12 by ChessBase which is what was advertised – (the real Fritz 12 has a green cover) which was shown when I purchased it. What I got from GoGamer is a cheap knockoff in a white cover that doesn’t have 1/2 the features as the ChessCentral Fritz 12 from ChessBase. So I went to Chesscentral at Amazon and bought the Real Thing (Fritz 12 by ChessBase). Now I have all the features that I was hoping for. I love my Fritz 12 from ChessCentral. The one from GoGamer is in the garbage because they won’t take it back because I opened it!!!
