This is really a very good upgrade from Office 2004. Much more versatility. Am finding a few quirks and hiccups but should be cleaned up by the next update.

The upgrade went without a glitch. Word, Excel and Powerpoint work as expected and give me good interoperability with my colleagues running Windows. I use Mac Mail exclusively, so I have not tried Entourage at all. But other people who have seem pretty happy.

I really don’t care for Microsoft Office. I prefer OpenOffice, or NeoOffice, but I had to purchase this for someone else in my office who is used to using Microsoft Office. I think it’s overpriced, and I don’t like proprietary software. Besides all that, I guess it’s a fine product.

I bought the Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac Update because it stated that the Entourage feature would allow me to access my company’s e-mail from home. In no review did I read that before I bought the upgrade, I should check the technical support for the e-mail system. I assumed because I had to have the upgraded feature I could access my e-mail – wrong. Not worth the money and now I cannot return “opened” software.
