I read the reviews on Quickbooks and Peachtree - It appeared that Peachtree was the easier of the two to learn. OMG, this is going to take some time. Not quite as user friendly as I like. I have used Quickbooks many many years ago and it didn't flow logically for me. So with the reviews and my past experience - I thought I'd try Peachtree. . . . Wow, I've have 'a lot' of homework to do. Others with bookkeeping experience may like it - but having been out of the business world for XX years - there is going to be a big learning curve . . . .

I find this software very useful to run my small business and it tracks and alerts me about payable and receivable invoices due. This is my first accounting software I have started using. I have not used other accounting softwares to make a comparitive review.

I hired a person to handle billing and receivables. I own a multimedia production company. We produce TV commercials and we provide custom web development and other media services. It was way too complicated for what we needed. I learn any and all computer programs, easily but this one just didn't work the way I would have liked. We toiled with it for a couple of months and we decieded chose to go with [. . . ] - It is much better IMHO.

I have problems from the beginning even downloading this product. Spent over 4 hours with customer service trying to install.

Then I changed computers because I did not want internet access due to viruses and theft. You can't do that. The instructions for changing computers in the knowledge base does not work. Followed it exactly. Made 3 attempts. I cannot use it on my new computer.

I have never done accounting before and this has been a nightmare. I wanted to use Peachtree because I could get downloads from my bank to reconcile now they no longer use it either.
I gave up using for months and gave it over to an account who tried to catch me up. Now its even worse. Nothing in this is easy.

Nowhere to enter Electronic Debts. . . come on! You have to write checks and fake it.

I can say how much I hate this software.

I am computer smart and good at learning new software, but have no accounting experience. Figuring out what to do here is not easy. I think I should have bought quick books.
