I purchased a home design software package 10 years ago that was easier to learn and use than this software package. This is the most confusing and frustrating user interface I have ever encountered. Do not bother with this software!

I’ve been in engineering/design work for over 20 years. I’ve got about that much experience with the professional software used all over the country. I was simply shocked at how good and user friendly this software is. Its very logical on how the thing works. . . which in my opinion is the mark of a good program.

I’m at the start of a large home remodeling project right now and the hardest thing to do for me has been trying to visualize how a new wall, counter, cabinet would look. This has done the job with flying colors – literally.

I’ll admit, that if you aren’t familiar how CAD programs work it may be a little longer, but just a little longer of a learning curve for you. Stick with it. The results are again – unbelievable and for $43 are you kidding, how can anyone complain?

Oh and at first I couldn’t get the 3D thing to work right. I called the Customer Service late on a Friday, I waited maybe 5 minutes and they fixed me up in no time. It was just a setting that I had to change on my computer. I’ve had no issues since.

I really wanted this type of software. However, it would not even start to install on my PC. I have a new PC with Windows 7 Ultimate. I sent it back for a refund.

I’ve never used a CAD type program before so I was pleasantly surprised at how easy this was to use. I had no trouble installing it (miracle) and I was able to build a blueprint in a matter of minutes. One caveat – I’m not doing anything very advanced; just moving walls and windows around and adding a little furniture. But I found it fairly intuitive and I was able to design a bunch of different layouts really quickly. They don’t have tons of detail yet, but it’s still better than waiting for my contractor to draw them for me.

I purchased the software yesterday and still don’t have it working due to the registration hoops that the software requires. The register button is supposed to open a browser so that you can enter your information and get receive an activation code in return. The register button does not open the browser. They don’t provide a URL either through the software or through there website that would allow me to access the registration screen directly. Their support is only open during business hours M-F so I can’t get help until Monday.

If you need to be up and running quickly then this is not the product for you.
