After I downloaded it via the amazon d/w manger (”Download to: C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersDocumentsAmazon Games & SoftwareQW10PRM. exe”) – it failed to install (”corrupted file”). I tried this 3 times (as asked by amazon support) with the same dismal result. Do not use this service if you can avoid it.

Once I downloaded and installed Quicken 2010 it wouldn’t register the product because it is looking for and msi file which wasn’t installed. I spent several hours trying to fix it. Amazon Support could help and told me to contact the Intuit. We’ll see if they can make it work. I would suggest picking up a CD version instead of doing the download.

I purchased the quicken download and had nothing but problems. . The chat help people didn’t know any of the answers that I proposed to them and were very lazy in trying to look up answers, but couldn’t find the answers. Getting very fustrated I tried there customer call back feature what a experience. . first they tell you they will call you back in 2 hours then you get a email that they will call you within the hour 3 hours later you finall get a call back but you can’t understand the person talking nor the message that he leaves. . finally I gave up and requested a refund which they did grant me now I have 2010 version and want to get back to trouble free 2009. Do I dare call tech help. . . . not on your life. . I will stick with the free version and try to figure out how to fix it. . its just very fustrating when you sign into 2010 it welcomes you to the 2008 version

Download and installation of the beta version went well. The software was tested on both an older laptop running Windows XP and on a new desktop running Vista, but it will not run on a computer running Windows ME. Subsequently, I have downloaded and am currently using the production version. There were indeed a couple of bugs in the beta version that have been corrected for the published edition. Over the years, I have used different editions of Quicken, with the latest being the 2006 edition. Consequently, I cannot compare features in the new edition with the 2009 edition. However, features new since 2006 that I find very attractive are: use of a Password Vault (designed and implemented very well) that permits updating banking and credit card downloads without having to type in all the passwords each time; optional Pop-up Registers; treatment of the Home screen; and efficient use of tabs for opening screens for Banking, Investing, etc. While I prefer Classic Menus over the Standard Menus, I appreciate having both available and use both. Over the years when I have written a software packages, there are always changes and additions I would make to a completed package even though it may already do everything it was designed to do very well. Similarly, there are a couple of additions or changes I would make to Quicken 2010, but they would not improve operation of the software. The most important thing is to have a software package that is accurate, stable and useful. Quicken 2010 clearly meets those criteria. In all candor, as neat as this new software may be, I really had no dissatisfaction with the older 2006 edition, and if account access at financial institutions were not terminated for the older version, I would be happy to continue using the older edition which also was compatible with Windows ME.

I had to buy this since Microsoft Money quit making their product. I am still trying to figure the program out. Sometimes when I enter amounts they get deleted. It is very frustrating when you are reconciling a bank deposit only to find that you have to go back and re-enter 20 amounts.
