So far, so good. This software was easy to install and appears functional. Of course it's impossible to tell how many viruses it's stopped, and I practice safe surf, but nothing awful has happened. In addition, this product has a much lower incidence of annoying popups and bogus alerts than some others I've used. It hasn't apparently degraded system performance. So far the product looks functional and low-maintenance and really, what more can you ask from software?

I have been using Trend Micro since 2005 and I have been happy with them.
It is easy to install and use.
I think it is a great software.

The PC I bought came with Trend Micro Internet Security. It worked fine for the first year. I paid the subscription for another year, primarily because it is a very cheap option for internet security software. Shortly after, my computer mysteriously started shutting itself down 15-20 minutes after start up. This turned out to be caused by a Trend Micro "update". The automatic updater did revert to an earlier version, solving the shutdown problem for a while. The most recent update I have received has started causing this problem again and the software informs me that installing a newer update (of which there are none available at this time) may solve this problem. I have had enough and have now uninstalled the Trend Micro software and replaced it with McAfee.

I have used a number of Internet security products. This I rate as the best of all of them.

I use Internet Security products based on price. They are all pretty good, so the only way to distinguish between them is price and custoner service. Trend-Micri fits both bills quite well.
