I haven’t installed this yet as it’s not the beginning of the year and Turbo tax never starts their downloads until after the 1st of the year. But the delivery of the software was great after they released it.

I purchased this item and then realized when I received it that I did not order the version with the state in the package. I ordered the version from Amazon that included the state and then immediately went to the returns page and found this:

You may return most new, unopened items sold and fulfilled by Amazon. com within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We’ll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error. Items should be returned in their original product packaging. Just visit our online Returns Center, and we will guide you through the process and even supply you with a return mailing label you can print out.

I printed out the paperwork and sent the package back to Amazon, unopened and untouched except when I pulled it out of the shipping box (not the packaging). I received an email today stating I would be refunded 50% of the purchase price do to some promotional issue (to be honest I still don;t know what they were talking about). I buy many, many items from Amazon each year, where I usually look first and only at Amazon for products, and this is the first issue I have had to return an item. I still don’t understand the returns policy but I’ll remember this experience and not fondly.

Turbo Tax has changed their packages, so be careful that you order the right one. Other than that, like usual, it is a good way to do your taxes, very easy and accurate.

Turbo Tax has too many updates close to April 1, the filing deadline. Additionally, this version does not include a state version which I need and was under the impression it did include. For an additional thirty bucks it is available.

Some wizard at turbo tax came up with this fine program that does not include the STATE tax.
Buy this jewel and you get to pony up an additional $39 for the state.
This program is ONLY FOR DOING YOU TAXES IF YOU DO NOT LIVE IN A STATE WITH STATE TAX!!
pICK THE ONE FOR A DOLLAR LESS AND GET THE FREE STATE TAX.
