Wordperfect Office X4 Standard
This product was sold by Payless. Mozilla Firefox was the only portion of the software that would load on my machine. I am totally unsatisfied with my purchase.

Sorry to knock on poor Microsoft when they’re already down with their “operating system” Vista (the only reason I haven’t upgraded my computer), but WordPerfect Office X4 Standard gives you everything that Microsoft Office does, but without contributing to the great homogenization of the software world. Give it a try!

I am still leaning all this program, having been “raised” on WORD. However this program does a lot more than WORD. Off the bad notice you have PDF capablities in this program, missing in WORD. They also give you a 200mb account online for storage and 2-hour training CD. You can open, edits and create in Microsoft OFFICE files. But you can really get creative with this program, right down to email. It’s also very easy to customize this program. I have have friends swear Word Perfect is so much easier to work with that WORD, and after playing with this I am beginning to see their point!

This is a good office suite of products, the thing is, since most of the world uses Microsoft Office, if you’re in a word processing program-intensive line of work like I am, you’re going to be forced into using that “other” company.
That said, I first learned WordPerfect in college and I must confess to liking it better than Word. I think Corel offers some great products, and if you’re needing something for personal use, this certainly gives Microsoft a run for its money.
